How to Use This Printable
- Print the sheet and put it somewhere you'll see it weekly.
- Each week, save the dollar amount shown on the next box.
- Color or check off that box once the money is set aside.
- Boxes don't have to be done in order, skip around if that suits your budget some weeks.
How the standard challenge works
Each week you save an amount that matches the week number: one unit in week one, two in week two, and so on up to fifty-two in the final week. Followed for a year it adds up to 1,378 in whatever currency you use.
Reverse it for the holidays
The hardest weeks fall in December, right when money is tightest. Flip the order: save the large amounts in January when motivation is high, and finish with the small weeks at year end. The total is exactly the same.
Or flatten it
If the rising amount gets hard to keep up with, divide the full total by fifty-two and save that same amount every week instead. A challenge you finish beats a clever one you drop in March.
